Grieve Not The Holy Spirit!
Grieving the spirit of God is not acknowledging His Presence and as a result you tend to do all you may ever desire to do.
It is simply doing without considering what the Spirit desires you to do.
Ephesians 4:29 Watch the way you talk. Let nothing foul or dirty come out of your mouth. Say only what helps, each word a gift.30 Don't grieve God. Don't break his heart. His Holy Spirit, moving and breathing in you, is the most intimate part of your life, making you fit for himself. Don't take such a gift for granted.
As a believer, understand that you are not on your own.You are not leaving for yourself, you need to understand that you are owned by God .
And as a result ,in all you do you must bless your hearers ; for you are God's mouth piece.
It's not enough to read that you are God's mouth piece; it's enough that you understand that you are indeed God's mouth; it means what you speak must make men feel the presence of God. They must know God from you , hear Him and be drawn to Him because of you.
When you ignore this truth, you will find yourself in most cases grieving the Holy Spirit.
Why , you ask? Because you don't count it as a great privilege to have the spirit of God indwelling within you; you don't even take into account what you speak , whether is blesses God and men.
Grieving the spirit could happen when you are being instructed by the spirit of God to do something and you don't.
Before you open your lips and say anything , first ask yourself, is this what the Spirit really wants me to say or it's just me, what I feel like saying?
Such questions will help you stay away from grieving the Holy Spirit.
Understand that it's not a small thing for God's Spirit to be in you, no. Believe me, what took God's life for you and I to become sons of God in whom His spirit dwells can't really be a small thing!
Child of God, examine yourself and see to it that you honor the presence of the Holy Spirit now more than ever before.
Trust God, be grateful to Him for everything. And then allow Him to really be your God!
Let your God be your LORD; let Him have lead you. Don't lead yourself in anything, for He is your God and promised to lead you all your days.
Allow Him to be by simply trusting Him and letting go off the self.
By doing so, you are acknowledging the Presence, the Leadership and the Supremacy of the Holy Spirit in your life.
Halleluyah
