In Mark 7:22-23 which reads:

"22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man." teaches us something really important.

Firstly,the people who are in your life are not there by mistake!

Secondly,the way you respond to or react to circumstances and things or even people is not by mistake.

Thirdly, the way you see or observe things and how you interact with them is not by mistake.

You may be wondering,"Where is he leading? In general, I have come to this conclusion from the basis of a careful observation I made over the years that:"People have got a tendency of blaming others for  everything wrong thing that has happened in their lives." This definitely is a fact of life; that you always find yourself always putting the blame on your neighbor and yet never really getting to examine the intents and pursuits of our own heart!

Here is what I've learnt, that if we used the same power that we use to quickly put the blame on others to actually first  check ourselves properly and actually examine your heart, clearly we would have a better world than there is now!

I don't know for the rest of you but as for me, here is  what I have come to realize! Whenever you examine your heart and get to know the real motives behind why you did what you did you will find out that actually they are not always the problem and neither are you always the innocent one.

I know your next question will be," Like how am I a problem yet I thought my neighbor or sister or cousin was the issue?"

Here is the truth, "Nothing is a mistake in your life and also that where you are is where you chose to be in one way or another and hence it's where you are supposed to be."

My father offen likes to make this statement that:“You are where you are supposed to be!” So I always would wonder,how?

Now I understand what He was meaning whenever he made that statement!

Your heart will always betray you,what do I mean? Your heart may try to convince you that so and so is complicated and position yourself in a place where you expect the worst from them because you think you can't know them fully but hey, that's a lie! It's not always so, sometimes you are the complicated one! 

Actually,this is how it works;what you hold in your heart will always attract the kind of people or things or situations that you see around you. 

You are the main reason for what is happening to you! Again I will remind you this that, nothing happens by mistake.

Am pretty sure you are beginning to relate! Because when you actually look back in your life, you will attest to this truth that the day you became born again you noticed that some friends or even family members started to avoid you even to the point of thinking that you actually did something wrong ; but honestly it's because you changed and left them; it's your heart that actually changed ! 

When you get born again, God gives you a New Heart! That is why those who were your friends before may leave you because you are no longer the same as you used to be because your heart changed! 

Nothing had changed on them but something had changed about you,"your heart”.

And to prove that it's true ,you now have new friends simply because what is inside you attracted them. Those are the true friends!

Human being are like magnets; they attract what they are. Don't ever blame those you see around if they are bad; it's mostly because that's what is in your heart!

So listen to me carefully," It’s not always about the friends you have, it’s about what you have inside your heart!" What's in your heart will attract the kind of friends you have, because that is who you are .

So you don’t change friends but you need change your heart and other friends will be pulled to you.

It’s not about them or what they do. If you see a problem with them it's only because there is a problem with you! Before you judge them, check what's inside you; check your heart! It's what is inside you that may be a problem, it’s you the problem.Quit blaming others and try understanding what is in your heart and do something about it! Receive Christ and you will be born a New; and will receive a clean heart!

So before you start to complain about everything and anything, first check yourself because chances are that everything happening to you is because of the state of your Heart! This is key ! Always check the state of your heart in all matters and allow God to deal with your heart!

Before wanting change anything on the outside first find out how you can change your inside, because if you can change inside, outside will be automatically changed.Because change starts from the inside and on to the outside!

You are made up by what is in your heart. You are good because your heart,but how can your heart be good yet we saw in Mark 7:22-23, that in the hearts of men lies evil? When you become born again, you receive the life of God and are brand new (2 Corinthians 5:17).You receive a pure and clean Heart, that loves God!

The life you have now is made up by the state of your heart and everything around you.

Stop blaming people and start to work on your heart!

Your heart influences everything and anything in your life. That is why in Proverbs 4 we see that ,God asks us to guard our heart because out of it flows the issues of life! The state of this  kinda heart God asks us to keep is clean and pure; the one that comes after the experience of salvation. God can't ask you to keep a heart whose state is not pure; He doesn't support evil! But what we guard is a pure and clean heart , and we guard it by filling with the word as the truth that leads it! Because then only will you be sure of more life .

Again I advise,stop blaming others and for what you may see in others, always seeking to find fault in others but you; learn to work on what you don’t see (what is hidden in your heart),because what is unseen influences what we see. 

How do we work on our hearts? Yes you may have received a pure and clean heart when you got born again but mind you , you won't walk in that purity of your heart without having to exercise yourself in the word, by controling what you allow to enter in your heart. Letting what is truth to govern your thoughts because then only will you be able to operate in purity and release more life out of your heart!

Also, I have learnt that the most powerful things are not the things we can see with our eyes but it’s actually what we can’t see and touch that carries power to impact our lives. Every single word we let in our hearts will definitely impact what we see in our lives.And our life is made up by the same substance (Faith).

So check yourself first and work on "you", and leave others for God to change!
