What is your ability?

Nothing should ever be new to you!

What you have and are is all because of what's in you.

When people are talking about God, you could think that He is someone who appears occasionally and then disappears or someone who is complicated or hard to reach!

 I beg to disagree.

Our God is simple and flexible.

Allow me to share with us further using a story we find in

*Matthew 25:14-23 which reads; " 14 For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. 15 And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.

16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also.

18 But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money.

19 After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.

20 So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’

21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

22 He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’

23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.”

Now, my focus is on verse 15 which says "... to each he gave according to their ability"...

Wait a moment! What does this tell us? Clearly we can see that their master had to first check their ability before giving anything to them.

This means that if the servants had the ability to receive 10 or 20 or more talents, the master would still have given them those talents.

What this tells us is that it wasn’t the problem of the master but rather it was the servants' problem.

And here is why; He only gave them according to how much they were able to receive; if their ability to receive was greater even so would have been the amount of talents given them! In this instance, the master being talked of here is God; meaning, God already knew how much they were able to take (bring forth) even before actually giving them the talents.

From this we then understand that; "You can only receive according to what your spirit is able to take! " It is not God's ability imposed on you to receive; It is you firstly, yielding your spirit enough to God (Holy Spirit) to be able to receive as much as the Lord avails to you!

This actually means that you determine how far you go! And how does God check our ability? Again I say, that the answer is Faith!

It’s through our Faith in him.

Your ability to receive is depicted in how much you are willing and ready to believe God! Therefore, it is possible to both increase and expand your ability to receive from God.

Remember this, that it’s not God's problem; It’s your problem. So my question for you is;

"What is your ability to receive?" When you can answer that question, you will be able to understand that it's in knowing your ability to receive that you are able to determine your ability to multiply.
