God's Hand.
Today I would like us to discuss about an important virtue in this life of salvation found in the book of Judges 1:1-2 the bible says" AFTER THE death of Joshua, the Israelites asked the Lord, Who shall go up first for us against the Canaanites to fight against them?
2 And the Lord said, Judah shall go up; behold, I have delivered the land into his hand".
The scripture goes on in in Judges 1:4 to say "Then Judah went up and the Lord delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand, and they smote 10,000 of them in Bezek".
Now I went further to search out the meaning of 10 in Hebrews and here is what I found.
In Hebrew every letter has a numerical equivalence and thus the Hebrew character or letter that is equal to 10 is Yud and it is the smallest hebrew letter.
And guess what, the symbolic meaning of the yud is - God's hand (meaning how God's hand works or interacts and intervenes in our lives.)
But it may also mean the way how God's hand is ever present in our lives but nevertheless choose not to force Himself on us or impress Himself on us. In other words, regardless of God's ever present helping and saving hand in our lives, it is not in Him to force us to serve Him or to recognize Him as our King and LORD. No,our God is humble and He is relational. He desires that we relate with Him from a father - son perspective and not a master - slave perspective.
So here is my piece of advice; the more humble and spiritual we become(being more conscious of our spirit life), the more and more God's hand has more influence in our lives causing our lives to be directed according to His Will.
What is our take home, friends? That God is ever available and present to help us, and He is ever willing that we allow Him to be the Lord of our lives and be the great influence and impact in our generation and generations to come. He is able to get us the victory we may ever need in life; the only issue is ,"How willing and humble are we for Him to work in our lives and win our battles?"
Let's always acknowledge our Father's presence in our lives. That we are never a lone, and that greater is He in us than he in the world.
Hallelujah...
