What Comes With Our New Identity
Understanding that when you got born again, you ceased living like men.
You now live like the Lord from above since it's where you are now sited .
1 Peter 1:22-23 Since by your obedience to the Truth through the [Holy ] Spirit you have purified your hearts for the sincere affection of the brethren, [see that you] love one another fervently from a pure heart.
23 You have been regenerated (born again), not from a mortal origin (seed, sperm), but from one that is immortal by the ever living and lasting Word of God.
The child born of the word is supposed to understand that they are pure because they obeyed the Truth (Word)by the revelation of the Holy Spirit of Christ.
Here in we understand that it's never what we do that purifies us but rather that it's by our obedience to the word that we are counted pure.
Everytime you take a hold of the word and choose to live but it , you are purified by the same.
As you get to know more and more of the word of God, the more and more your thoughts are transformed and thus become pure by the same word.
In our theme scripture the 23rd verse goes on to further explain why we are purified by the word. And it says, "You have been regenerated (born a new) not by mortal (being) but by what's immortal, the living and lasting word of God, Halleluyah.
This friends shows us indeed what purifies us and why we are purified by the same.
Because we are now regenerated , born of the word and not by what's mortal , we are right when we expect the word to purify us.
When you understand this , you will never take it lightly studying the word. Because you know it's where your life comes from.
It's what makes your star shine brighter.
It's what sets you above and above the rest.
Let this mind be in you which you ought to carry as one born of the word .
And your life will never remain the same.
Halleluyah
